Itinerary
First, you have to reach Dharamshala from where you get a bus to Mcleodganj. Mcleodganj is at a distance of 7 km from Dharamshala. You can get an overnight bus from Delhi or Chandigarh to Dharamshala and from there board a local bus or taxi to Mcleodganj or Dharamkot. In Mcleodganj, the starting point of the trek is in Dharamkot. Dharamkot can be reached in half an hour from the main market of Mcleodganj. There are two routes to trek to Triund, one through the Galu Devi Temple and another one is through Bhagsu waterfall. We usually take the former one. The whole trek is of 9 km and you can easily climb it in 4-5 hours. You will be getting guesthouses before starting the trek where you can rest for a while and freshen up. The trek will start at and you will pass through forests. The trail is easy and moderate. You can have tea and snacks at the points present on the way. You will reach Triund Campsite by the evening where you will get evening snacks. Enjoy the beauty of the hills. Capture its beauty relish in the sunset which is worth witnessing! You can pitch your tents and have your dinner before you go to sleep in the lap of the hills.
We will have breakfast and then leave for McLeodganj.
